The Camp Algona POW Museum will be open additional hours December 15 through December 23.  During weekdays, we are open from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.  We are open our regular hours of 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. on Sarurday and Sunday

        Located in Algona, Iowa, this Prisoner of War camp was ‘home’ to a total of 10,000 German prisoners from 1943-46. The value of the work done by the prisoners in the 4 state area was estimated at $3,506,000.

        It was a huge economic asset to the community and surrounding area.
